Role Description.
Senior Software Architect owns the end-to-end technical architecture of the BYLD Platform. This is a strongly hands-on, systems-level role. Responsibility includes defining architectural direction, enforcing technical standards, and ensuring long-term scalability across computational design, backend services, data pipelines, and client-facing portals. The role bridges R&D prototypes and production-grade systems, working directly with engineering leadership, product, and industrial R&D.
IMPORTANT: This is not a people management role, it’s technical and requires deep understanding of coding patterns, hands on experience in code creation and working in complex environments.
Key Responsibilities.
- Define and own the global software architecture of the BYLD Platform.
- Design scalable, modular systems supporting CAD automation, pricing engines, production planning, and logistics.
- Translate R&D prototypes into robust, production-ready architectures.
- Establish architectural patterns, coding standards, and technical governance.
- Lead architectural decisions across backend, frontend, and data layers.
- Design and oversee company systems with clear domain boundaries.
- Ensure system performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
- Review critical code paths and architectural implementations.
- Guide engineering teams on complex technical problems and trade-offs.
- Collaborate closely with Product and R&D to align architecture with business and industrial constraints.
- Evaluate and introduce technologies pragmatically, not experimentally.
- Support long-term platform evolution and technical debt management.
Desired Skills and Qualifications.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related field (PhD is a plus).
- At least 5-8 years of experience in software development industry, with min. 4 years in a technical leadership role.
- Extensive experience in .NET development, including proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, and MVC frameworks.
- Strong understanding of front end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js).
- Proficiency in database management systems and experience with ORM frameworks (Entity Framework).
- Knowledge of various architecture approaches with ability to make final call, containerization (Docker), and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, cybersecurity principles, and designing high SLA (Service Level Agreement) applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
