Role Description.

The Head of Product will lead the development and strategy of BYLD’s software products. This role requires a deep understanding of product management, user experience, and market trends. The Head of Product will work closely with engineering, R&D, and sales teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions that meet the needs of the construction industry. We develop a software portal for our construction clients including developers, architects, suppliers, and other stakeholders. This is a strongly technical role that involves determining the commercialization strategy for products based on prototypes produced by the R&D team.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
  • Define product roadmaps and prioritize features based on business goals and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Software Engineering teams to ensure successful product development and delivery.
  • Oversee the creation of detailed product specifications and requirements.
  • Drive the implementation and delivery of software products from prototypes to market-ready solutions.
  • Champion user-centric design and ensure the product meets high usability standards.
  • Work with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and effective interfaces.
  • Gather and analyze user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including developers, architects, and suppliers, to understand their needs and incorporate their feedback into the product.
  • Communicate product updates and roadmaps to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define and track key product performance metrics.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed product decisions.
  • Continuously monitor and improve product performance and user satisfaction.

Desired Skills and Qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 4 years focused on the commercialization of software products.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering successful software products.
  • Experience in the construction industry or related fields is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Proficiency in product management tools and software.
  • Strong technical background and ability to work closely with engineering teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
